With over two decades of expertise in corporate communication, I’ve navigated the complex landscapes of banking, tech, retail, energy, and government. My mission is helping organizations cut through the noise to find their authentic voice and connect deeply with their audiences.
As a Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) and Co-Active trained coach, I do more than just build communication strategies. I partner with leaders and teams to bring those strategies to life, providing the context that ensures everyone understands exactly how they drive business results. My approach is rooted in a simple belief: when a leader’s internal why is calibrated with their organizational narrative and behaviors, performance becomes natural and authenticity is unlocked.
I believe in results that stand up to the highest global standards.
In 2020, I was honoured with the IABC Gold Quill Best of the Best award for internal communication—a testament to the power of strategic precision.
During my time at ATB Financial, I also led our communication team to multiple honours, including IABC Corporate Communication Team of the Year.
Beyond my consulting work, I am a dedicated advocate for the communication profession. I currently serve on the executive board for IABC Canada West Region and have contributed years of service to various boards, including the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC), as well as local school councils and sports associations.
At my core, I am a mentor and a leg up leader. I value sharing knowledge to help develop the next generation of communication pioneers. In addition to architecting narratives for executives, I am a wife and a mom to two teenage boys. You can usually find me refueling with a hot cup of Earl Grey tea—the original inspiration behind the Steeped philosophy of patience, presence, and quality results.
Steeped Strategy Group acknowledges the lands that support us.
Our business is based in Moh’kins’tsis (mow-KINT-sis)—the Blackfoot name for the area we now call Calgary, referring to the "elbow" where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet. This is the traditional territory of the Treaty 7 region, home to the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai); the Tsuut’ina Nation; and the Stoney Nakoda. We also recognize the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and the Métis Nation within Alberta, residing on the historic Northwest Métis homeland.
Water is the first ingredient in every tea we steep, and it is the lifeblood of this land.
Just as the Bow and Elbow rivers bring different currents together at the confluence to create something stronger and more vast, we see a powerful parallel in our work. Historically, these confluences were sites of gathering, trade, and shared wisdom. We believe that strategy, like tea, requires the right elements to come together with patience and intention.
Our acknowledgement is more than a statement; it is a testament to our commitment to learn from the traditional territories where we work, live, and play. We are committed to treating our engagements as our own ‘confluence’—an opportunity to come together, to learn from the truths we are still discovering, and to ensure our work remains human-centred, transparent, and rooted in a genuine commitment to reconciliation.
